"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

First Snowfall

Didn't we just get past winter? It snowed into June and here we go again. We woke up yesterday morning to everything covered in white. As soon as we got home from church, Lauren went down for a nap and the other two grabbed their coats and headed outside. I didn't want to tarnish their excitement, but are we in for a long winter or what???

BOO! I hate the snow! Jace was soooooo excited, and Brock and I just hate the cold. Every year around this time we talk about moving to Hawaii. Maybe one year it will actually happen (yeah, right.)

That is sooo crazy! That makes me so sad for you! I remember it snowed in Utah on May 1- I was like what the heck! I'm excited to see what the Virginia winter is like. Everyone says it gets cold, just not as long. I think I can handle that!

I'm protesting and not turning on the heater yet. I think we'll pull out of this yet! I love how you put pictures of Cody growing up. That is so fun to see how people change isn't it. Maybe you'll inspire me?? Love the marble jar idea too. I (will) have a sticker chart to visualize their progress, but we have been giving them a payday on Sundays and have their jars divided up into tithing, saving and spending So far so good:)

You're a nicer mom than me. My kids wanted to go out in the snow but I told them it was too cold. I'm just not ready for this weather.

My kids were out there at 6am!!! 6am! REALLY?? Who even wanted to be AWAKE at 6am on a Saturday morning. They sled on our hill until the snow was gone! My feet are still cold just thinking about it!

And hey... check your email! ;)

Hi Veronica! I just saw your comment on Cindy's blog and thought I'd stop by and see you and your cute family!
So, I'm assuming your somewhere in UT?

We're getting ready to move to that area! My husband's office is by the airport. What school district are you in? I'm trying to get as much info as possible!

Welcome to my world, lol.

How unfair that you got snow on the ground and live way down South (compared to me, that is).

Have fun in the snow :)
