"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

A Hallmark Tradition

On December 5th, the Christmas box gave us some fun instructions. It told us to go to Hallmark to pick out our annual Keepsake ornaments and then to go somewhere for hot chocolate and cookies. Normally we hit Hallmark a few days after Christmas and take advantage of their 75% off sale, but this time we HAD to do what The Box told us...and pay full price. That was a huge blow to our pocketbook, but the plus side is that there was a huge selection and the kids got exactly what they wanted. Ethan got Harry Potter, Hailey got another reindeer one, Lauren got Barbie, Devin got Toy Story, and Garrett got the traditional "Baby's First Christmas". Mom appeased her desire for a baby grand piano by getting a miniature one, and Dad got a leg lamp ornament. We then went to McDonalds and got treats. The Play Place was completely empty except for us, so we had a great time. We hope The Box tells us to do the same thing next year!
