"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Hailey's Kindergarten Graduation

The kids' last day of school was June 1st. The last day of school is always so bittersweet! These kids are growing up waaaaaay too fast. At 9:00 the morning kindergarten classes put on a great program for the parents. I have been listening to Hailey practicing her songs for weeks and it was fun seeing it all put together. She has had a wonderful first year of school and she has been super lucky to have an incredible teacher, Madame Camilla Taylor. It's amazing how much French Hailey has learned this year! She was also lucky to have some great friends in her class, namely Ada. But we are so bummed that the two girls are on different tracks next year, therefore different classes. But I'm sure she will still make some wonderful new friends in 1st grade! During the program they showed a cute slideshow of all the stuff the kindergartners have done this year.  We sat there watching it thinking "This is nice..." until the very last slide it said "Congratulations class of 2024!  Good luck in the future!"  Yeah, Mom lost it and started crying.  Geesh, way to put it into perspective!
