"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Bowling With the Beebes

The kids went off track again (for the third time this school year) and today was the first day.  The rest of the school district on the traditional calendar has spring break this week, but everyone else at our school who is NOT on D track doesn't have this week off. It blows!!  But tonight we had a combined FHE with the Beebes, who had some free bowling passes and they so graciously invited us to help them use them.  So two bowling lanes, ten kids, and four adults made for a really fun time.  We love having Audrey and Enos (or, Enoce as the bowling guy typed his name in....he must be Spanish) as friends and neighbors.  They are one of the few remaining original families in the neighborhood who have been here as long as we have!  Audrey and I have high hopes that at least two of our children will get married one day, and we're putting our money on Hailey and Xavier.  I have a feeling those two have tender feelings for each other!

Xavier was actually whooping everyone and was in the lead (thanks to the bumpers of course) and Cody was right on his tail.  At the very end of the last frame, Xavier was winning and Cody was behind by a couple of pins.  He tried to loose on purpose by making his ball go into the gutter.  But the dang thing spun and curved, and Cody ended up knocking enough pins down to win.  Poor Mr. X was so sad and tried to act like he didn't care, but his eyes showed major disappointment.  I guess Cody's just too amazing at bowling and can't even loose when he tries.  Yeah right!
