What a fantastic day!! The Bunny left the kids' baskets with a few goodies inside. Not a lot of stuff, but a few fun trinkets. They looked outside and saw several eggs scattered around the yard and were sorely disappointed that we wouldn't let them go hunt until after church.
I just love getting these guys dressed up for special occasions. This year I fell in love with the girls' dresses (that I actually bought back in January) and found the boys' ties to go with them. You can't tell, but Ethan's has a beautiful iridescent paisley print on it. The little boys' outfits are a combination of a couple of other outfits. Church was fantastic. Great talks all about Jesus and the Atonement and Resurrection. And then I got to spend the rest of the time playing the piano in Primary, which was fun because of all the Easter activities.
When we got home from church, the kids grabbed their baskets and headed outside. This year Garrett was old enough to get excited about the whole thing, but still didn't care about doing much other than trying to open every egg he found!
Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for about an hour this afternoon, and then headed back over to Lance and Courtnee's house for dinner while they were still in town. At our place, we had our traditional ham and potatoes Easter dinner and our good friends the Roberts joined us. They are some of our "orphan" friends and we call them that because they are both from out of state and don't have family close by to get together with for stuff like this. Seems all of our friends usually rush off to join their extended families, so it's nice to have a few friends who are in our boat! I wanted to get a picture of all the kids together, but they were so busy playing everywhere and us grown-ups were too busy visiting and laughing all evening. It was a great day! Gorgeous weather outside and Hailey is feeling a ton better since surgery. We're so excited that spring is finally here!!
