"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Ethan's First Day Camp

Ethan got to attend his first ever two day Cub Day Camp with his den this year.  He went on June 27th and 28th and it was up Millcreek Canyon at Camp Tracy.  He had an absolutely super fun time and he can't wait to do more stuff like this with his den!  Cody was able to take off work on the 28th and drive the kids up and stay for the day.  Ethan was pretty excited to have his dad there (and I am too because he took lots of pictures.)  Both days when Ethan came home he was COVERED head to toe in dirt.  A dirty boy is a happy boy!  Some of the highlights of camp for him were-

-Digging up dino fossils
-Earning "super hero powers" (which were beads/awards)
-Riding go carts
-Doing an awesome obstacle course
-Eating lunch (likely his favorite part because Dad makes him great lunches!)
-Going to the trading post
-Learning how to fold a flag and to put up a flag on the flag pole
-Learning all about the Pledge of Allegiance
-The car ride up to camp because he got to visit and laugh with friends
-Getting to know the kids in his den a little better
-Getting REALLY REALLY dirty!
