The little boys have mange. At least it's looked like mange. Their hair is curly and out of control, even when wetted down and brushed. And Devin has these horrible cowlicks in front that make it even crazier! I have always trimmed their hair, and it shows. I don't pride myself in being a good hair cutter at all. I can do a kind of straight cut across the girls' hair if it needs some freshening, but that's where my skills end.
I've had my reservations about getting them real haircuts because I was afraid that the stylist would hack it all off and not leave any shaggy curl, which Cody and I love. But this morning I bit the bullet and took them to Cookie Cutters and the girls did a great job. They honored my wishes of leaving enough to put pomade in to curl, but groomed it so they didn't look like orphans. Devin threw an absolute conniption fit for the first few minutes, but finally calmed down when he realized he was losing that fight. Garrett did okay as long as he couldn't see me.
They got balloons, cookie cutters, and suckers. Now what better way to mend an offended heart?! I let then play on the toys for a few minutes and oddly enough, they didn't want to leave. I had to drag Devin in kicking and screaming and I had to drag him OUT while he yelled at me. Go figure.
