"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Halftime Spectacular!

Oh my goodness, what crazy busy weekend.  Ethan and I got home from a stake baptism this morning and had to imediately get everyone packed up and ready to leave for the Utah basketball game at 12:30.  The girls were performing during halftime and we could NOT be late.  Jessica came over to babysit the little boys, but Devin started freaking our somethin' fierce because he really wanted to go with us.  We caved and took him, fully expecting him to be a handful.

Since Devin was with us and since we didn't have time to stay for the entire game (I tell you, it was a crazy busy day) we opted to get the cheaper upper bowl seats.  The girls already had their tickets (already paid for in the cheer package) so we just got general admission.  It was a good idea because Devin was able to roam as he pleased and not bother anyone.

Today was the day that they retired Rick Majerus' famous white Utah sweater that he wore at all the games.  They did a whole memorial during the first part of halftime, and it was pretty emotional.  Majerus was the Utah basketball head coach for 14 years and his wife, children, and many former Utah players were there.  After that, the cheerleaders and "minis" came out for their performance.  The girls did great considering they had learned the routine just the day before.

We were having such a great time that we didn't end up leaving until their was four and a half minutes left on the clock, but we really had to get going.  Utah was up by twelve when we left, and they ended up winning.  It was a really fun day!
