"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Alligators and Sturgeons

We had gorgeous weather on Labor Day. We loaded up and went out to Miracle Hot Springs to see the alligators. I don't know why they have an alligator habitat, but they do and it was fun for the kids to see. I got bored quickly, but the kids got overly excited every time an alligator moved or opened it's mouth. They were quite enthralled.

Then we drove out to a national fish hatchery to see the giant sturgeons. They live in a shallow canal and you can reach down an actually pet them. It was a strange kind of petting zoo, that's for sure! The fish swim right up to you. Again, the kids thought it was really cool. The hatchery itself is among beautiful scenery so we went for a short nature hike.

That's awesome. I had no idea that existed. You have had the busiest few weeks of anyone I know ever! Good for you for not letting 3 kids slow you down!
