"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Texas, We Will Miss You

8-26 The time has come to say goodbye. I always hate this part. My family can be crazy and loud and obnoxious (kind of like an American version of "My Big Fat Greel Wedding" at times). But they are mine forever and I love them. The last three weeks was not without it's share of drama, but we had a wonderful time and I can't wait to do it all again.

After an eventful and hectic trip back, Cody and I have decided that we will likely drive to Texas from now on. We might be singing a different tune come Christmas, but it can't be any worse than getting through airports and security and rude passengers and terrible airline people who can't keep things straight. But we made it home for two days and then turned right back around for a trip to Idaho. Maybe one day we can all sleep in our own beds again!

Wow you definitely have done a lot of with your kids lately. How fun you got to visit your family in Texas it is always fun to be around family. Looks like you had a lot of fun.

Driving isn't that bad. I prefer it to flying, and not just because I hate flying with a passion. At least in the car you only have to worry about the kids irritating you and not some hateful jack@^$ that just got finished with some business trip or something. Driving's the way to go...with the exception of the fastfood that one always gets while on the road....
