"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

Hailey's First Day of Preschool

This has been a long awaited day in our house for about two years. Hailey has begged to go to preschool since Ethan started. She's talked non-stop all summer about Mrs. Kari's school (as she calls it). Lucky girl, today was the day!

She goes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the morning. She has the same schedule as Ethan's kindergarten so that makes it easier for me. It was strange only having one child this morning to lug around! That will only last for another few weeks.

Hailey was a tiny bit shy and quiet at first, but not at all apprehensive. She walked right in and gave Mrs. Kari the bag of cookies with the cute note. Mrs. Kari gave her a huge hug in return. Hailey seemed like an old pro, and she should be. She's been with me so many times as I've worked in Ethan's classroom. She knew right where to hang her back pack and where to sit. Kari had them playing with playdough as all the kids got there.

When I picked Hailey up around noon she was all smiles and beaming with excitement! Miss Chatter Box talked my ear off on the way home. This is going to be such a fun year for her.

Kari is pregnant with twin boys and is due in December. What an interesting year this will be for her!

Sorry Hailey will not get to have Miss Kari the whole year as her teacher. But, I am sure she is going to love going anyway.
