"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life;
to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

The Parade and Picnic

On Friday we drove to Buhl to see their town parade. There is nothing like a small farming town all gathering togeher to show their love for this wonderful country. There were actually some WWII vets walking in the parade. Sadly, they are dwindling in numbers and it has become a novelty to see such people.

The kids had a great time collecting candy and getting a little sunburned. We stayed in Buhl all afternoon for their 4th of July bash. We picniced in the city park, swam, and ate snow cones. What could be better?! I sewed the girls these dresses and bloomers and they looked so cute! Hailey loved showing people her new dress.

Totally pooped after a great day! Now back home for a quick nap, dinner, and baths before firworks!

Those are the cutest little dresses that the girls have on. I love Hailey's hair too. I really need to learn how to do hair so I'm prepared for when Lydia's is long enough. You are so talented!
